Funny Quotes Terry Neason

"Never buy your teeth from a catalogue!"

A slip of the tongue and out it comes blah blahrdy blah... every Speaker, Trainer and Entertainer has had a moment where they opened their mouth and spouted rubbish.
When I get a bout of mashy mumblings... this is one of my favourite Funny Quotes.

A Blessing Beannacht - John O'Donohue Poem

Beannacht — A Blessing
by John O’Donohue

Thank you to my friend Gibby Keys for reminding me of this glorious Irish poem.

Beannacht a blessing
Shortly before his death in 2008, the late Irish poet John O'Donohue recited his poem  Beannacht, meaning blessing, during an interview with Krista Tippett. Woven throughout this reading are his close friends' photographs of him in his Celtic landscapes.

John wrote Beannacht for his mother, Josie O'Donohue
Beautifully delivered by John in his soft Irish lilt - each verse a gem to be treasured.

Beannacht — A Blessing — by John O’Donohue

On the day when
The weight deadens
On your shoulders
And you stumble,
May the clay dance
To balance you.

        And when your eyes
       Freeze behind
       The gray window
       And the ghost of loss
       Gets in to you,
       May a flock of colors,
       Indigo, red, green
       And azure blue
       Come to awaken in you
       A meadow of delight.

                When the canvas frays
              In the curach of thought
              And a stain of ocean
              Blackens beneath you,
May there come across the waters
              A path of yellow moonlight
              To bring you safely home.

May the nourishment of the earth be yours,
May the clarity of light be yours,
May the fluency of the ocean be yours,
And may the protection of the ancestors be yours.

                         And so may a slow
                      Wind work these words
                      Of love around you,
                      An invisible cloak
                      To mind your life.

Citizen's Theatre - Terry Neason & Johnny Beattie 2012

Johnny Beattie Diamond Celebration 2012
The Citizen's Theatre Glasgow
 Sunday, May 20 - 2012

We had a brilliant cast of celebs and an amazing evening celebrating 60 years in showbiz for Scottish comic legend Johnny Beattie. The night included warm hearted video messages from Sir Alex Ferguson and an hysterical one from the 'Big Yin' Billy Connolly.
I had the great pleasure of singing Johnny's favourite Sinatra song, My Way. I decided to go with just vocal and piano. Michael Barnett played and I was joined onstage by the fabulous Musichoir - we did it our way!

Main foyer of Citizen's Theatre after the show - Left: Fiona Kennedy - Terry Neason - Johnny Beattie - Maureen Beattie - Judy Sweeney

Center: Terry Neason, Neil Thompson, Musical Director & Musichoir

Great friends - Terry Neason & Judy Sweeney backstage at the Citizen's Theatre

In the dressing room - left: Judy Sweeney, Libby McArthur, Terry Neason, Fiona Kennedy
Both Libby and Judy are River City actresses and Fiona has the singing voice of an angel.

After show glow - Terry Neason with highly talented Scottish Hollywood actor, Alan Cumming OBE - (Jings! Apparently he confessed to going commando in his kilt to Buckingham Palace to collect his OBE from Princess Anne...could have been a royal flush.)
Re-united after all these years. Alan was part of Victor & Barry with Forbes Masson and they were the regular comedy 'turn' on The Terry Neason Show for STV.
